Queen Letizia, 45, wore a striking monochrome outfit for a reception to Ambassadors in Spain held at the Royal Palace in Madrid today.
The royal was joined by her husband, King Felipe, 50, who looked dapper in a morning dress.
Letizia wore a full length black lace dress, covering her shoulders with a structured white jacket.
The mum-of-two completed her look with a pair of black patent court shoes and pearl drop earrings which swung as she walked.
In keeping with the formal nature of the event, Letizia kept her makeup simple, wearing a deep berry lipgloss.
Her hair was blowdried straight, and she wore it tucked behind her ears.
King Felipe joined his wife, and the two stood side by side as they listened to the Vatican’s Nuncio to Spain, Renzo Fratin, give an address.
Letizia’s outfit today was in stark contrast to her choice yesterday, when she stepped out wearing bold red.
The sultry red outfit made a statement as she celebrated King Felipe’s 50th birthday.
She wore the outfit to attend the Order of Golden Fleece ceremony, also known as the Toison de Oro, at the Royal Palace in Madrid.
The event coincided with the 50th birthday of her husband, King Felipe VI, which was yesterday.
Queen Letizia’s coat dress fit her figure incredibly well, with a nipped in waist and slim cut arms.
It was collarless with a stiff high neck, and had two ties at the waist.
The coat dress finished slightly below Queen Letizia’s knees, and she chose to wear sheer tights.
Underneath she wore a satin slip in a darker shade of red, which finished on her knee.
She wore blood red patent heels with a slightly pointed toe and a stiletto heel.
