Stacey Solomon, 28, stepped out at the National Television Awards red carpet in London last night – but unlike many of the women on the night, Stacey missed the fashion mark.
Taking style inspiration from Lily Allen circa 2006, Stacey chose to wear a prom dress with a pair of blinding white trainers.
While the outfit may have been comfortable, it wasn’t particularly stylish, and Stacey looked out of place in the sea of glamorous women.
Posting before the event, the Loose Women presenter revealed her dress was from ChiChi Clothing.
She paired her outfit with very long blonde hair worn in a middle parting over her shoulders.
The mum-of-two let her look do the talking, choosing to keep her make-up minimal for the night out.
Extreme eyelashes were the focus of her make-up look, and she paired thee with nude lips and light smoky eyeshadow.
She finished her outfit with long spiky white nails which matched her white trainers.
Stacey’s outfit divided her fans on Instagram, with hundreds of comments both praising and criticising her.
One person wrote: “Bet by the end of the night lots of women were wanting to swap there heels to trainers. Go u for going for what u wanted”.
Another said: “You can rock anything, love the trainer vibe. Go giiiirl. However the dress does actually make you look like you have a baby bump x”.
Stacey has spoken in the past about being herself on social media, and the pressure women are under to airbrush their bodies – something she slammed as “dangerous”.
Stacey was not the only celebrity to get it very wrong on the red carpet last night, and there were a number of worst dressed at the NTAs.
Kate Price looked witch-like in a black textured dress that didn’t seem to fit well over her surgically enhanced bust.
Eastenders actress Lacy Turner, 29, looked bizarre in a bright dress which looked like a pair of Big Mo’s curtains.
This year’s Love Island’s Amber did her best 70s Cher impression with a large permed do and dark eyebrows.
