Melania Trump, the wife of Donald Trump and US First Lady, was spotted wearing a green dress created by Samantha Cameron.
First Lady fashion collided in a transatlantic moment, which saw Melania wear one of former UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife’s designs.
The 47-year-old former model wore the green dress on October 10, 2017, when President Donald Trump honoured the 2017 Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, in the East Room of the White House.
She paired the elegant midi dress with multi-coloured python Louboutin heels and a green snakeskin belt.
Samantha Cameron’s fashion line Cefinn was launched by the 46-year-old on 1 December 2016.
The name was created by taking the initials of her children’s names, Elwen, Florence, Ivan and Nancy.
The dress Melania wore is the Collared Long Sleeve Shirt Dress in Emerald Green, which is priced at £295.
However, the dress is sold out in all sizes from six to 14, besides in a 12.
It is not known if the dress is a nod to Samantha, or whether Melania has any knowledge of the designer behind the green garment.
The brand’s website reads: “Cefinn is a contemporary designer womenswear brand based in London and launched in February 2017 by Samantha Cameron.
“The brand focuses on design-led, go-to day wear, it is a collection of discerning staples for busy women – an easy, hardworking urban uniform.”
Items on the site range from £150 for a blouse to £490 for a coat.
Melania Trump is known for her style, and on New Year’s Eve she wore a gown worth £3,000.
The First Lady’s stunning dress was light pink and covered in sequins with a pretty floral design featuring red, blue and white bouquets.
What is Donald Trump and Melania’s age gap? Melania and Donald first met at a party in New York City in 1998, when she was aged 28 and he was 52.
The couple has been married for 12 years, and have one son: Barron Trump, aged 11.
