Domino’s has created the ultimate comfy couch companion for hungover Brits sitting in front of the TV on New Year’s Day.
The highstreet restaurant has created a huggable half-a-friend and extra arm for your pizza.
The limited-edition twist on the ‘boyfriend pillow’ has been designed for maximum cuddling comfort and comes with opposable fingers so it can hold a pizza dip for people relaxing in front of the TV.
The range was created by seamstress Charlotte Denn, the fashion designer behind Domino’s Wipeable Onesie from New Year’s Day in 2017.
Three-quarters of Brits will spend the first day of the year sitting in front of the TV, according to research from the company.
Eight pizzas a second are predicted to be ordered throughout the day on Monday with 2.9 million slices expected to be eaten before midnight.
Louise Butler, Domino’s ‘Recovery’ spokesperson, said: “We know nothing quite beats a freshly handmade Domino’s on New Year’s Day whilst watching something good on the telly so what better way to gently ease yourself into 2018 than with our own specially curated 24-hour TV channel and comfy couch companion to watch it with.
“If you’re feeling a little delicate from the night before, then look no further than “The Official Food of Recovery on New Year’s Day.”
The limited-edition range of Domi-mates will be in selected stores nationwide for £25 each, with Domino’s match-funding each sale and donating all proceeds to its selected charities including Teenage Cancer Trust.
The restaurant has already raised over £1.7 million for the charity
Those who aren’t quick enough to get their hands on a Domi-mate but would still like to support Teenage Cancer Trust can do so by texting the word DOMINO to 70300 to donate £3.
