Brigitte Macron wraps up warm as she pays memory to victims of the Paris terror attacks

It’s been two years since Paris was hit by a series of terrorist attacks that left 130 people dead and hundreds injured.

The targeted sites included the Stade de France arena, shootings at restaurants in the 10th and 11th arrondissements and the Bataclan concert hall where the band Eagles of Death Metal was playing.

Brigitte, 64, and Emmanuel, 39, stood side by side with the families of victims during one of several ceremonies taking place across the city.

The pair paid their respects by laying wreaths and standing in silence outside the Stade de France national stadium.

The French President and his wife later visited the Bataclan theatre, along with Eagles of Death Metal.

Brigitte braved the cold weather in a black military-inspired coat, with black skinny jeans and black leather ankle boots.

She added a splash of colour with an electric blue snood scarf, wrapped tightly round her neck, and a pair of blue leather gloves which she kept taking off to to shake others’ hands.

Brigitte was clearly moved by the occasion, as she looked to be holding back tears.

French politicians old and new then joined member of public in a balloon releasing ceremony at Paris 11th district town hall.

Last week, Brigitte visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

She was spotted covering her head as a mark of respect as she entered a mosque.

Sheikh Zayed Grand is considered to be the key site for worship in the country – and was designed by Yousef Abdelky.

Macron wore a white full-length suit with a stunning cream silk stripe down the leg.

Once inside the mosque, she placed a scarf over her heard to respect the rules of the environment.

Brigitte’s visit to Abu Dhabi was not alone.

Just the previous day she and her husband Emmanuel met with the ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.
