Australia's leading makeup artist reveals four products she couldn't live without – one is only $34!

With 377,000 followers on Instagram and a combined social media audience of more than 800k, Melbourne-based makeup artist Heidi Hamoud is the woman to go to if you’re in need of beauty advice.

From her Instagram feed filled with perfectly dewy skin, killer eyeliner and lashes for days, it’s no surprise that Heidi has had her artistry featured in publications around the world.

Speaking to Husskie, Heidi (aka @heidimakeupartist) let fans in on the four products she just can’t live without – and some of them are cheaper than you might expect.

 1. Dior Addict Lip Glow

‘This lip product has the texture of a lip balm while adding a bit of colour,’ Heidi told Husskie.

The professional makeup artist went on to say that the natural appearance of the lip glow is what makes it a winner for her.

Born backstage at the brand’s fashion shows, the moisturising lip stain is available online at Sephora in two matte, six satin and two shimmer finishes for a reasonable $34.

2. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser

Tinted moisturiser has experienced a surge in popularity in recent times, thanks to growing demand for the ‘no makeup, makeup’ look.

For Heidi, Laura Mercier’s version has actually replaced normal foundation. Speaking to the beauty website, she explained that the product covers imperfections while still giving that much sought after natural appearance.

This blend of SPF-rich skincare and makeup hydrates your skin, softens fine lines – and will cost you just $45.

3. Inika Organic Long Lash Mascara

This cruelty free lash enhancer is Ms Hamoud’s ‘current favourite mascara’.

The luxurious Vegan formula is clump-free and gives heaps of extra length and volume to have lashes ‘on fleek’ with just one brush.

Available online at Inika Organic for $45.

 4. Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil

‘I love this because it’s quite a thick serum which keeps skin hydrated and glowy all day,’ the superstar artist told Husskie.

The most expensive item on Heidi’s list of must-haves, this facial oil made from the pips of African Marula fruit is a serious treat for all normal to dry skin types.

Free from chemicals, fragrance and bleaching, Drunk Elephant’s Virgin Marula Oil will set you back $58 for a 15 ml bottle at Mecca – but according to the professional, it’s worth it.
